nau2017One of the major objectives of the NDP 2013 – 2017 is the diversification of the national economy generating independent growth of the oil industry cycle.
Indeed, promote the development of manufacturing, particularly in the cluster context of food and diversification of the national economy on a sustainable basis, contributing to job creation, the use of agricultural and mineral raw materials, the balance of trade and foreign exchange savings are clearly defined objectives in the NDP 2013-2017.
The Industrialization Program of Angola 2013-2017 is the materialization of the major objectives of development of the manufacturing sector, in 7 priority sectors: • Manufacture of food products and beverages: • Textile, clothing and footwear Industries ; • Industries of wood, wood furniture and pulp, paper and paperboard; • Chemical and pharmaceutical industries; • Industries of minerals and non-metallic building materials; • Manufacture of basic metals, metal products, machinery and transport equipment; • Recycling. There are components of the program already approved and launched. Among these, we highlight the (Profir) - Development Program for Small Rural Industry, whose overall objectives consist in the promotion at the local level of: • Economic growth, • increase of employment, • diversification of the economy, • promoting entrepreneurship • private sector development.
The specific objectives of the program point to: • support small and medium-size industrial enterprises for the creation of a favorable global environment for the activities of economic agents and the priority orientation of such activities on supply chains and industries selected based on the country's resource endowments and the potential contribution they can make to achieve the major national development objectives. The (Profir) should contribute to the reduction of regional asymmetries, the population of poverty and migration, particularly young, by providing employment opportunities and improving the quality of life in cities. The (Profir) should, on the other hand, stimulate the diversification of the local production and the emergence of a brand of small rural industry with national expression. From the sectoral point of view, there are conditions for development of micro and small industrial activities and service in the ranks of agro-industry, food industry, construction materials industry, wood industry and units of service.
